New Course: Holistic Grazing and Ecological Monitoring
Learn to grow more grass, prepare for dry seasons, and manage grazing
during dry seasons and droughts
The Holistic Management Co-operative Project and Farming Together are offering
a short course of innovative approaches based upon Holistic Management. The
course offers practical learning activities, and no formal assessment is
required. Modules covered include:
- Grazing planning
- Ecosystem processes
- Biological monitoring
- Ecological Outcomes Verification
Ecological Outcomes Verification is a key part of the new Land to Market
Australia scheme for raising the profile of regenerative agriculture and
produce.
These courses will be run in two-day sessions available over three months
at Braidwood, Mudgee, and Orange, February to April 2018, from 8:30am to
4:30pm. They will be delivered largely in the paddock by professionals from
the Holistic Management
Educators of Australia and New Zealand, accredited by the Savory Institute.
Cost
$500 student contribution per farm, plus
bring a friend for free.
All learning resources are provided, along with morning and afternoon teas.
